Where Oui Live is run by Herim Shin, contact whereouilive@gmail.com. In short: you can use the site without an account; accounts are optional and only keep what you save. No advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies.
What stays in your browser
Your answers (budget, workplaces, characters, shortlist) are kept in your own browser's storage so you don't lose your progress. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser's data for this site deletes them.
What is sent to compute results
To show results, some information goes to services that answer the question and don't keep a profile of you:
- addresses you type: to the IGN Géoplateforme geocoder (French government), to find them on the map;
- map positions of quartiers and workplaces: to Île-de-France Mobilités (public transport journeys) and OSRM (driving times), through our server, which caches answers for a day to save requests;
- your IP address: to the map tile server (OpenFreeMap) and our host (Cloudflare), as for any website.

A login token is kept in your browser's storage while you are logged in. It is strictly necessary for the service and needs no consent. Accounts and saved searches are stored by Supabase, in Frankfurt (EU). You can delete your account, and everything attached to it, at any time in My account.
Share links
Without an account, a shared search is packed into the link itself, after the "#": browsers never send that part of a link to any server, so we never see it. A saved search is shared with a short secret link instead; anyone who has it can open that search. Either way, the person you send it to sees your answers, including workplace addresses, so only send it to people you trust.
Hosting
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), on servers close to you (in Europe for European visitors), covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Like any host, it keeps short technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security.
Your rights
Without an account we hold no personal data about you. With one, you can access, correct, export and delete your data, object to its use and withdraw consent: deleting your account in My account erases everything at once. For anything else, write to whereouilive@gmail.com. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
